Lunch today was at a decidely un-Vegas restaurant -- the cafe in the Canyon Ranch Spa, located inside the Venetian. Apparently one of the largest spas in Las Vegas, the facility includes a restaurant which is supposed to be one of the healthier (and least hectic) lunch locations in the city. The cafe lived up to the promise on both counts, delivering both a delicious rare Ahi tuna sandwich as well as a rare sight: a maitre d' shushing a patron whose mobile phone was loudly set on speakerphone. You'll have to take my word on the latter, but here's a picture of the former. (Sorry my autofocus decided the plant looked more delicious than the sandwich):
