Läckö Slott
Läckö Castle, begun 1298. Originally a fortification for the bishop Brynolf Algotsson, it was ceded to the King in 1527 during the Reformation. Gustav Vasa spent time there from 1532-35. Gustav II Adolf gave the castle to his general, Jakop de la Gardie, in 1615 when he made Gardie a Count to reward him for service in the Thirty Year's War.
