Bergen Migration Conference

This Wednesday - Friday I'm at the Nordic Migration Researchers Conference in Bergen, Norway. I'm giving a paper tomorrow on contemporary Danish and Swedish literature on a panel called Europe vs. the Illegals. The (truncated!) abstract is online here.

Questions this conference will probably not resolve for me: is it really going to be warmer on the windy west coast of Norway than it is here in Uppsala? The weather report says yes, but I'm packing deep-winter gear anyway. And: will I actually have time to take any pictures in Bergen, thus justifying taking a camera that weighs more than my laptop?
