Just north of Lassen National Park, there's a 129-foot waterfall formed by a combination of volcanic forces and erosion. Named for a hapless settler who met his end at the hands of local Native Americans, Burney Falls was declared by Teddy Roosevelt to be the Eighth Wonder of the World:
