Dungen

I'm always the last to find out about Swedish cultural stuff that even the most umlaut-unaware friend or coworker seems to know of. Case in point: Dungen, a one-man band of which the Boston Globe says:

If someone played you Dungen's album "Ta Det Lugnt" and said it was a long-lost European underground classic from the late '60s, you'd probably believe it. Everything about the disc -- the vintage guitar tones, the long and flowing tunes, and especially the hazy sense of wonderment -- harks back to the golden days of psychedelic rock.

I have no idea, however, why everyone's saying the album title translates to "Grab the Calm". Besides sounding like a Mentos Tranquilizer, it's a misguided interpretation of a phrase which means "take it easy." Grab the Calm would be more like "Gripa Lugnet". I have a feeling it's either an in-joke Gustav Ejstes is playing on English-language media, or somebody who translated the title word-by-word and every other article is copying the mistake.
