Off to Austin

Early tomorrow morning I fly to Austin, TX for the Swedish Teachers' Conference. From there on to New York for the Khemiri panel. Four Seasons lost my reservation (again!?) but we're checked into a comparable facility. On the restaurant list in NYC is Taqueria y Fonda La Mexicana and Sàigòn Grill. Why can't I find a place with as good Bún Xào here in Seattle? Mmm, nước chấm....

I'll be sharing a room with him and Säfstöm, whose zeal for 18th-century Swedish church history is equalled only by his skill at concocting drinks from small liqueur bottles in the hôtel minibar. Or so I'm told.

Helping me pack is The Arcade Fire, although so far I haven't risen to Josh-levels of obsession and seen them three times live. In one year.
