Last year I took some pictures in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park -- mostly of butterflies, as below:
This year I returned and took more pictures in the victorian greenhouse known as the Conservatory of Flowers. There are all sorts of plants here that wouldn't grow normally in chilly northern California, including some perhaps best confined to the pages of Dr. Seuss:
The one I like most, however, is this profile shot of a dragonfly:
Another favorite is this shot of small wet leaves -- I especially like the glistening dark twigs, almost black:
